Four Finalists in the 2014 Web Awards

Dot Dash is delighted to have four finalists in the Realex Fire 2014 Web Awards. Dot Dash is now running for three years. We won an award for our first design in 2012, best online publication for Totally Dublin. We followed this up with 3 finalists at the 2013 Web Awards. Our form coming into the awards this year is:

  • 1 finalist, 1 winner in 2012
  • 3 finalists, 0 winner in 2013
  • 4 finalists, TBC in 2014

Our strengths are:

  • Beautifully designed creative work
  • That are well built and executed
  • Supported by strong account management and team

Our pool of multi-talented & multi-disciplinary team of freelancers is key to our success and some of the sites below are a great example of the best from the team!

So we’ll take you through the nominees anhd what we delivered as part of each project.

RHAGallery: Arts

Is up for a second year running in the Arts category. The RHA is an artist-led organisation located in the centre of Dublin, its core remit is to support contemporary art in Ireland through exhibition, education and advocacy. The Exhibitions also brings significant contemporary international art to Irish audiences.

This site was designed and built by Billy, with great design ideas from their marketing team.

We delivered:

  • Events Calendar for the exhibitions & school
  • Shop & Paypal integration
  • Google Map integration
  • Newsletter Integration
  • Built using WordPress CMS

Finalists in the 2014 Web Awards RHA Gallery

TreatDublin: Small Business

Treat is up for an award in the small business category this year.

Treat is in the heart of Dublin 7 in Cabra in 2010. Set up a year before Dot Dash, Treat has become a firm favourite for many in the surrounding area and further afield! They sell freshly made soup, handmade sandwiches daily and a deli selling a wide selection of food. Their gift selection is reflects their love for good quality unusual items and Sally-anne and Lindley take pride in the fact that you won’t find anything similar in the area!

The website was designed and built by Billy and as part of this job the hugely talented Erin photographed the shop and a selection of the products for our client. These are a striking and prominent part of the site’s overall design.

Finalists in the 2014 Web Awards Treat Dublin

Microfinance Ireland: Financial Services

A finalist in the Financial Services category.  Microfinance Ireland (MFI), is a not-for-profit lender, set up by the Government’s to deliver it’s Microenterprise Loan Fund. Startups and can apply for loans ranging from €2,000  to €25,000, and terms for 3 to 5 years. Loans can be used to fund the start-up of a business, the purchase of stock, equipment, machinery and business vehicles and are also available to established enterprises

The site launched this time last year. It was designed by a free lance designer we previously worked with and built by our developer Paul. This project also included copy writing was done by Elaine and the talented team at WebContent.ie.

Finalists in the 2014 Web Awards MFI

And us, DotDash!

We are up for the agency of the year, by the fact we have several finalists in other categories. Yaay for us.  We also had 6 client sites in the semi-finalis this year. This is a cluttered field, a little like the Grand National. Wish us luck and hopefully I’ll be back in editing this blog tomorrow with some updates!
